Catherine Anne

 Catherine Anne O'Hara OC (born March 4th, 1954)is a Canadian-American actress, comedian, and writer. O'Hara has been the recipient of a number of distinctions, including a Genie Award, a Golden Globe Award as well as two Screen Actors Guild Awards, two Primetime Emmy Awards, and six Canadian Screen Awards. In the year 2018, she was appointed an Officer of Canada. In 2020, she received the Governor General's Performing Arts Lifetime Artistic Achievement award. O'Hara's first recognition as an actress when she was a part of The Second City improv comedy troupe in Toronto in 1974. Along with John Candy, O'Hara was part of the main cast of the sitcom Coming Up Rosie (1975-1978). O'Hara began working alongside Candy in Second City Television's sketch comedy show (1976-1984). O'Hara was praised for her stand-up and writing talents, winning the Primetime Emmy Award of Outstanding Writing for Variety Series in 1981. In 2022, O'Hara was added to the new Second City artistic advisory board headed by Stephen Colbert, along with Steve Carell, Dwayne Colbert, Tina Fey, Keegan-Michael Key, Julia Louis-Dreyfus Jane Lynch, Tim Meadows, Peter Murrieta, Suzy Nakamura Sam Richardson, Jeff Richmond, Jason Sudeikis, and Robin Thede.
